Novos Firmware Zeebo e reiniciando

Yeah I have and it does the same thing when it's acting up. I tried to load Crash Nitro cart, Resident Evil 4 and Magic Drop and it would screw up on those too.

It's been working fine for 2 days now... just dreading when a friend wants me to bring it over to play some 2P Double Dragon when my new Z-Pad comes in from Brazil!

so, looks most probably like a circuit problem. Actualization will not help you.
Your Zeebo needs to be "hot" to work well and this is not good!
some old versions of the console had a recall from the factory to change some parts internal and external parts and yours could be one of then.
Since you can't send the console to the factory, use it while works.

Im a little confused.. it has to be "hot" to work? I would think it would work better before it got overheated...

Either way I bought it used so maybe the person who had it before me had it actualized? What is the current firmware that you guys are on? The person who I got it from asked me to email him the firmware to see if I was up to date so I can reference mine with yours.

Even if it is a circuit problem I will probably pay the guy to buy me a new one and load it with double dragon and whatever other games you guys say are good and have him send it to me.

But he said the system has always worked fine as long as he's had it, and I believe him, so I wonder what it is =/

Em New York, a temperatura deve ser muito inferior a do Brasil, talvez seja plausivel um problema com a temperatura do aparelho... (apesar de o contrario ser muito mais provavel)

in the normal way of think, it has to work better cold intead of "hot", but in the case of zeebo, nothing is sure! (I Had a old tv that works in this way, only "hot")

the other possibility is that while the zeebo apparently started evething and you could normally play is that the console is still loading any process while you started the console. In that case, this error had to happen to everyone (to no game works, what happens here is one or another game crashes). and even in this way of think, the system itself would be very slow.

Other thing that i don't know is how the voltage is set in the USA, here is 110v in most cases and 220v in others, don't know if in the USA is different and could be affecting the circuits.

Also the voltage is the same here 110v, and the adapter for the Zeebo is Bivolt, so it adjusts to whichever country it's being used in.

But as a precaution, I bought a brand new adaptor thats supposed to be here today, so I'll test that out too. If it works on the first try then we're good as it usually restarts for a while after I take out the adapter.

Ok update for anyone who cares:

I took the adapter out after the game had been working for a few hours and put it back in, just to test what STX had been saying about it working because it was "hot", and the second I took it out and put it back in it instantly started doing the same restarting thing, except this time it was different.

Now when I start the game it actually loads up and I can start the first stage but as soon as I start fighting the game powers off and restarts the console. What's more is that sometimes before it happens I can notice the game start to move just a little bit slower then normal and then it restarts.

I know a lot of us have had the problem of the console restarting when you go to load a game, but has anyone had the problem of it restarting after the game was loaded and you we're playing for a bit?

I think it may be the charger itself just isn't good, because it seems that the game restarts when the system needs to pull more power for more enemies on the screen, etc.

Again, any help you guys could give me would be useful!

a crash of a game after some little gameplay is normal sometimes in some games. Double dragon do this with me sometimes, normally I'm at Stage 3 ou 4 when happens.

try to use an estabilizator (don't knon the name at USA)

If the problem stop, then the problem really is the charger, if continues, who knows?

Another thng, this last problem of starting a game and then crashes is with all games or only Double Dragon? Did you already finisehed the game? when we finish, a new character is avaiable to use at the game and sometimes the file generated to unlock the characters could bring some conflicts (happens with me in Zeebo's Fifa 09). Don't remember if DD has the option to erase the unlocked characters but if exist this option, maybe stop the problem.

I haven't really played any of the other games when the restarting was happening. I've only played the other games after the system had already been working for a while so there was no danger of it resetting at all.

I actually have beaten Double Dragon many times and I have all the characters unlocked so I don't think that's the problem. Also anytime it resets during the game it's only happened on the title screen or during the first set of enemies on the first stage... Also it did it a few times before I unlocked anyone.

Like I said though I have another brand new adapter coming that works on the zeebo but is made for american outlets.. so we'll see. Just wanted to know how normal it was for it to restart during the actual gameplay.

The pattern in USA is 60hz, but I think it's just a matter of the adapter itself being faulty not the base current that it outputs

This problem of restarting, it is very common with Zeebo so I guess I can not solve, sorry .-.
